Book Two - Cracked Reflection is the second season of the Cartoon Network series Infinity Train. It premiered on January 6, 2020.

MT, a wanted reflection and a passenger named Jesse agree to help each other in exchange for companionship of Alan Dracula the shapeshifting deer. As MT, Jesse, and Alan Dracula travel together while on the run from two mirror police officers, they navigate their own personhood and learn they are not so different from each other.

Similar to how the show's first trailer was revealed, Book Two was formally revealed through Cartoon Network's website on November 22, 2019. The website would lead to a crane game. By leading the deer to the flower and capturing the deer, the new trailer would then play.^[1]

On November 25, 2019, Owen Dennis revealed the season's full title in a tweet.

Trivia

• Music: The song used in the trailer is "The Passenger" covered by Siouxsie and the Banshees.
• The season's first trailer was released on November 22, 2019: this was intentional, as it is the same day in-universe that Tulip boarded the Infinity Train.^[2]
• Jesse's number on the Book Two poster/cover is different from his starting number in the show by one digit.
• With Book One taking story inspiration from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Book Two is inspired by Carlo Collodi's The Adventures of Pinocchio. Jesse even mentioned Pinocchio in one episode.
• Book Two was not part of the original series order: Cartoon Network originally ordered 10 ten-minute episodes, which the writing team fit the entire story they had planned into, only for the studio to reverse course and order an additional 10 for a full order of 20 episodes. Not wanting to push their original story further, the decision was made to turn the series into an anthology, with Book Two focusing on M.T.^[3]
  • The writing for Book Two was already finished before Book One aired.^[4]
• The writing team played around with the idea of making Book Two more serialized than Book One, utilizing more cliffhangers to engage the audience and focusing on the action than the emotion of episode arcs.^[5]

Continuity

• According to Owen Dennis and Madeline Queripel, this season picks up approximately 2 months after Tulip left the train: by extension, this places it around 5 months before Book 1's epilogue.^[6]
